I just put these in the dash of my 89 Chevy Silverado, I have not heard a 4x6 this clear, this loud. It didn't matter what kind of music I threw at them they sound great. I have them on an Alpine CDE9843, I plan to upgrade the head unit to a newer Alpine and put them on an amp, I know they will sound even better like that, I will definitely be buying a second set for the rear.

The Planet Audio BB460 4-Inch x 6-Inch 2-Way Silver Glass-Fiber Woofer Cone Speaker System is definitely worth the money. The high pass/full range feature is a nice touch. I tried hooking them up both ways and decided the high pass was the best. They don't handle the bass very well. This isn't a problem for me, as I have a set of 6" x 9" speakers in the rear shelf.
The sound quality of these speakers is very good. They, definitely, benefited from the 20W 2 channel amp I added.
The installation was straight forward. These were in stalled in the OEM front door location in a 1994 Chevy Caprice. Had to make a minor adjustment to the plastic housing in the door due to the extra-long bolts used to mount the speakers to the plate system. Other than that, it was very easy.
I would definitely consider buying these speakers again.

Blew me away ...when u first open the box and see the speakers its amazing. The speakers themselves look awesome and the polished magnet on the mid makes me want to mount it backwards lol. All in all it sounds great too gets very loud with out distortion and the outboard crossovers make it easy to set up
